In Search of 100 Species in South Marin
During the winter season, Bolinas Lagoon and South Marin are home to many types of birds. These areas provide abundant duck and shorebird sightings—it is not uncommon for an efficient crew of birders to observe as many as seventy species in an hour. Join us as we travel by van to surrounding grassland, riparian, scrub, oak, mixed forest, and ocean areas to seek out one hundred bird species (or more!). Please note that some of the walks, though relatively short, are fast-paced. Meet at Center, transportation provided; dress in layers for changing weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring a lunch and water.
Saturday, November 12; 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Fee: $45 per person*
Instructor: Josiah Clark
